Walking Is Fantastic Mental and Physical Exercise

Any time I really need to get more inspired, nothing compares to taking a rather long walk out in the open. When I am distressed, angry, or discouraged a walk always centers me. I prefer simply to walk on the beach given that the vast azure ocean and the miles of open sand before me, minimize the enormity of my troubles.

Basically, walking allows me to take a "time out" from life's distractions. It is that mental clearness that makes walking such an great way to get more motivated.Going for a walk is so easy and yet very few people do it. You don't have to wear tennis shoes, or walk fast, or carry weights for you to reap benefits. There's something powerful about taking time for yourself, to be by yourself in nature, with no distractions. It is stimulating, uplifting, and a sure-fire method of getting more motivated.

Taking a walk is one of the only times I have solitude in my life (besides the bathroom). I get to clear out my brain and reconnect with nature. It is one of the few ways that I get to move my body for an extended period of time. Walking rejuvenates my body and my mind.

It's best to walk outside instead of in a gym. No machines, TV, music, or crying little ones. Walking outside means that you can truly focus on yourself and your thoughts, without having distractions. It is possible to hear yourself think. You breathe more completely and your heart pumps a little faster, invigorating your brain and body. Your blood runs faster through your body, revitalizing you. Your thinking becomes clear.

There is power in clarity. It releases your mind to think of new things. And, in that moment, I frequently have sensational insights and realizations. In the blink of an eye, I can see the solution to a problem that's been weighing on me. I actually feel lighter. As soon as you clear your mind, it is a lot easier to solve your problems. This is a heady and magical state to be in. It is actually very cool to realize that you are capable of solving your own problems. Once more, you are in control of the path of your life. It is a great and liberating way to view your life.
